    The Volunteer’s Role

    Our partner, the Acopagro Agricultural Cooperative of Cocoa is currently working on implementing development initiatives and projects aimed at the younger generation of their cooperative membership: youth entrepreneurs.

    Cuso International in Peru is looking for a volunteer like you to support Acopagro in training rural youth in the strengthening and development of their life skills as well as contribute in the development of their entrepreneurship skills to be successful in the cocoa value chain.

    As a volunteer, you will:

    - Contribute to the design, creation and implementation of workshops on entrepreneurship, innovation, marketing, value chain development, management of small farms, among others.

    - Develop and implement a capacity-building plan to develop professional skills for rural youth cooperative members

    - Visit communities where youth might have business initiatives or ideas to put into action in order to get know the places and how people work, and to identify youth groups that have economic initiatives

    Provide support and technical assistance to young entrepreneurs´ economic initiatives and small enterprises

    - Provide feedback and suggestions on how to improve existing programs and social projects

    Essential Academic Qualifications:

    Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Rural Development, Social Sciences (or equivalent through experience).

    Essential Professional Background:

    Experience in business administration, social economy, and/or agriculture cooperatives.
