We provide programs, services and content that challenge people to ask new questions and develop lasting improvements in their work.

    We are looking for a Program Coordinator and Assistant Secretary to the Board– a highly organized individual who will support our full range of logistics activities. This position works closely with our Executive Program in Arts and Culture Strategy, supporting educational events in both online and in-person settings.

    We are a small, highly collaborative organization. This position reports to the Director. The Program Coordinator & Assistant Secretary to the Board is an integral part of our overall program delivery and mission achievement. The regular responsibilities for this position include:

    Key activities

    • Coordinate planning timelines and organize meetings with staff team and external partners
    • Organize online applications for NAS seminars and other events
    • Serve as the front line of communication with program participants, informing them of key program updates and answering questions
    • Maintain updates of online classrooms
    • Research and book venue, catering and A/V for all events and board meetings
    • Review contracts and payment timelines with finance & executive assistant
    • Draft and send emails with logistical information to all program participants
    • Produce learning materials (e.g. slides, notebooks, handouts, nametags)
    • Coordinate and attend NAS board meetings and serve as assistant secretary
    • Additional duties as assigned

    This position requires, at a minimum, the following qualifications and personal qualities:
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience in project coordination or event management
    • Writing skills – clear, concise and compelling
    • Project management skills – organized, consistent and on time
    • Experience with or knowledge about the arts and culture sector preferred
    • Experience with or interest in online learning
    • Demonstrated ability to work in small, fast-paced teams
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
    • Experience with Salesforce preferred
