Friends of the High Line raises 98% of the High Line's annual budget. Owned by the City of New York, the High Line is a public park maintained, operated, and programmed by Friends of the High Line, in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.



The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for assisting in all aspects of identifying, securing, and executing revenue-generating corporate partnerships for Friends of the High Line (FHL) milestone events, programming initiatives, and general operations. This is a new position that reports to, and works closely with, the Director of Corporate Partnerships & Events.



·Updating and maintaining the corporate pipeline in The Raiser’s Edge – including action items, research notes, and relationships – to inform cultivation and stewardship strategies

·Identifying and researching new corporate partners for the High Line, with a focus on businesses that reinforce the High Line’s mission, values, and brand identity

·Creating, editing, and submitting sponsorship decks, funding proposals, grant applications, and reporting requirements; maintaining a calendar of, and adhering to, time-sensitive deadlines

·Supporting the Director in preparing presentations and internal briefing materials for phone calls and meetings with current and prospective corporate partners; attending calls / meetings and recording minutes on an as-needed basis

·Developing and executing a tracking system for recognition and benefits fulfillment; coordinating the routing and approval process with corporate contacts

·Collaborating with FHL communications staff to devise and fulfill recognition opportunities for corporate partners, including content for the High Line Blog, social media, and on-site signage

·Updating and maintaining the corporate support page of High Line website, digital brochures, and other external-facing corporate fundraising materials

·Coordinating volunteer and employee engagement opportunities for corporate partners and neighborhood businesses, including horticulture volunteer projects, on-site support at FHL public programs, and High Line tours

·Preparing invoices, gift routing paperwork, and acknowledgment letters for corporate contributions

·Assisting with other administrative duties and high-priority department initiatives on an as-needed basis, including staffing for venue rentals, fundraising events, and donor cultivation and stewardship activities



Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communications skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to cope with complexity and change in a fast-paced work environment are essential. Knowledge of and experience at NYC public parks and cultural institutions is preferred. Must be comfortable interfacing with corporations, agencies, vendors, individual donors, and the general public. A high level of computer and Internet literacy, including experience with The Raiser’s Edge, InDesign, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as an aptitude for mastering new computer applications, is essential. Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends as needed. Bachelor’s degree and two to three years of relevant experience is required.
