La Mezcla is seeking trained Womxn Tap Dancers with performance experience for weekly rehearsals, paid performances, understudies for national tour dates for award-winning and NALAC funded show “Pachuquísmo,” and a new rhythmic work. Womxn of color highly encouraged to audition.

La Mezcla is a multi-disciplinary rhythmic ensemble whose work is rooted in Chicanx, Latinx and Indigenous traditions and social justice. Founded in 2014 by Dance/USA artist fellow, NEFA and former NALAC grantee Vanessa Sanchez, La Mezcla performs regularly in the San Francisco Bay Area and will have national and international performance dates for the tour period 2020-2022.

An in-person audition will be held in San Francisco on February 23, 2020. Pre-registration strongly encouraged.
