Our Relief Efforts
Hope and faith amid the COVID-19 pandemic drives us to find courage and compassion for humanity. People working in the medical field, providing care, transporting, cleaning, consoling; the farmers and farm workers growing and gathering our food, the truck drivers and grocery store workers, public transportation drivers all taking a stand. Here we are knowing that we must care for each other as we are able.
Our elders, culture bearers and artists point us to the north star to remind us to love and embrace our world. They share their stories and creativity to bring joy and hope to our lives and they too are impacted by this pandemic and we recognize our responsibility to preserve and support the creative spirit.
Actos de Confianza
As part of the first phase of relief efforts, NALAC created the Actos de Confianza micro-grant initiative to support Latinx artists and cultural workers in all creative disciplines in the United States and Puerto Rico short-term emergency financial assistance. While the deadline to apply has closed, we will continue to distribute micro-grants until funds are exhausted. Unfortunately, new applications are not being accepted at this time. We invite you to join us in supporting these efforts.
