Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, FL (LORT B Mainstage, LORT D Second Stage) seeks applicants in area of Stage Management for its 2019-2020 season Apprenticeships as part of its Career Development Program.

Asolo Repertory Theatre’s Career Development Program is designed to provide real world experience to recent college graduates to prepare them for a career in the arts and non-profit sectors. Training under the guidance of our exceptional staff in a supportive, professional environment, Asolo Rep’s Career Development Participants are fully integrated into our team, collaborating with professional staff members for hands-on work experience within their disciplines. In addition to the training and experience participants receive while performing their primary duties, they also have the opportunity to interface with professionals and attend training presentations from other departments of Asolo Rep, giving them a broader exposure to the many different facets of a professional theatre.

KNOXVILLE STAGE MANAGEMENT APPRENTICE

• Position runs February 18, 2020 to April 25, 2020

DESCRIPTION: This position offers the opportunity to interact directly with AEA stage managers and actors, union stagehands and nationally recognized directors and designers working in a large rotating repertory company gaining invaluable hands on experience. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and knowledge of the production process. Looking for 1 apprentice for this World Premiere Musical and its Tony Award-winning team.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have excellent communication skills and knowledge of the production process. Applicants should have a college degree in theatre with a focus on stage management or design technology. Professional experience at a regional or summer stock theatre and/or with union crews is required.
