Originally from Colombia, Lina Alfonso is an arts administrator and cultural worker based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work is guided by the principle that the arts are vital for the preservation of cultural heritage, collective memory and diverse identities. She currently serves as the Program Manager, Grants and Services, at Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC), New York. She received degrees in Visual Arts and Economics from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá), a M.A in Arts Administration from Columbia University and is an Innovative Cultural Advocacy (ICA) Fellow from the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI).
